Micro-X, a pioneering Australian technology company in nano-tech, was redefining imaging for both the medical and aviation industries.

Their innovative x-ray machinery required a user interface that was as forward-thinking as the technology it powered. Standard interfaces didn’t offer the agility or precision needed, so Micro-X engaged National Digital to develop a custom solution. The platform had to be able to work offline while delivering real-time updates and a responsive experience for users.

Architecting a NextJS and Apollo-Driven UI with Offline IoT Support

National Digital collaborated closely with Micro-X to understand the unique challenges of both medical and aviation applications, designing an architecture based on NuxtJS and Apollo frameworks. These choices allowed us to create a visually engaging, responsive interface with animated elements that elevate the user experience. In addition to its dynamic design, the interface was built to operate offline, with IoT capabilities enabling continuous function without internet dependency—a critical feature.
